Chequers is situated in the Hambleton hills in North Yorkshire, the western edge of the North York Moors National Park..We provide two double rooms, beautifully furnished to a high standard making your visit very a pleasant one. Chequers originally a 400 year old Drovers Inn which is located two miles above the picturesque village of Osmotherley which has views across to the dales as far as the eye can see. Perfect for those who love just to get there walking boots on as we are adjoining both the Cleveland Way and beginning of the Lyke Wake Walk and for those who are more energetic we are on the national bike route, ideal for artists photographer and those how just enjoy the tranquility of the countryside.

Chequers is surrounded by the dales, the coast and the moors, with the beautiful city of York only 50 minutes away with its cobbled streets and stunning Minster its trip not to be missed and the coastal town of Whitby which is famous for its Abby and connection with Captain Cook is great place to visit all within easy distance for Chequers.
