Lovely friendly staff. Very clean and quiet. Computer services are good. Thank you Janet
Used it almost every day to download mail/newspapers onto our tablets. Comfortable surroundings, a fair bit going on, interesting displays and tourist info. Big area for people to use computers.
Great library, with a great range of books for children, and a lovely area for them to sit and read in tubes and tunnels. Clean, bright and well organised. I also really appreciate the information about Otley, in particular the guides to the local flora and fauna. The only weak point is that the staff are often reluctant to help you actually get books out. One actually refused to help me and rudely ordered me to use the self-serve. I feel that wishing for human service when borrowing books with my children shouldn't be too much to ask at a local library. However, most of the staff are completely lovely and helpful, and overall it is a great library, I highly recommend.
A sort of normal day with the end of furlough. Time to kill I visited the Otley Library. The Internet users sitting in clusters provided a reassuring indicator. The staff behind perspex are ready to help and there's plenty of space on the library floor to ensure safe distancing. You're advised to wear your mask and there is sanitiser on hand to help you stay virus free, so get along to your local library all you bookworms, find a newspaper or select a book to read from the copious bookshelves!
The computers are hit and miss as to whether they are working, and you can't always print either. Slight overkill with the covid measures, but overall, a pleasant place to be, and helpful staff. Special mention to Jess who recently helped me with something, and the lad ( didn't get his name ) who also gave me some information I needed.
