Buttercups

Buttercups is a lovely soft play centre with a big, open space and a great variety of toys. The children were genuinely very happy and had plenty to keep them engaged, and the staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our visit. The only significant downside was the temperature. It was very cold inside, which made the visit uncomfortable for adults. I had to keep my jacket on for the entire stay, and because it’s a soft play where shoes have to be removed, my feet became very cold as well. I understand this may be difficult to control due to the glass ceiling, but some form of improved insulation or heating would make a big difference. Overall, it’s a place I would happily recommend for the facilities, atmosphere, and staff — but I would avoid visiting during winter until the temperature issue is addressed.

Bit late on the review, but we had our son's birthday party here in July. I could not have asked for a better experience. The staff are simply amazing, making yourself and the children feel so welcome. It is a joy to help support a local family business, which goes above and beyond to ensure all the children have a lovely time. The food was fantastic (as always) and steered clear of the beige rubbish you get elsewhere. It was also very relaxed and you never get herded around and I would recommend choosing the option to book out the venue for your party. You will not have to worry about feeling like you are on a conveyer belt like other places. I want to say thank you again to the family that runs the venue as they are so kind and we really appreciate everything. Also, the prices are extremely fair and we have been back so many times over the years. We will be distraught when our son grows out of it and no longer wants to visit. 🤣

We held our daughter’s fourth birthday party at Buttercups. The staff were excellent and the prices very reasonable. Communication during and ahead of the day was really good and everything was really well organised. Everyone had a fantastic time.

Exceptional soft play area for all abilities. Changing facilities prepared for all stages of potty training and spare disposables for women and children (thank you!). Amazing play area for children of all abilities and great staff. Will be returning and recommending to others.
