⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional Every Time! Mistal Kitchen in Otley is an absolute favourite of mine! The service is always exceptional — warm, friendly, and genuinely welcoming every time we visit. You can really tell the staff care about creating a great experience. The food is consistently amazing, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Whether it’s brunch, lunch, or one of their delicious cakes and coffees, it never disappoints. The place itself is so cute — full of cosy, cottage vibes with lovely decor and a relaxed atmosphere. It’s the kind of spot you just want to keep coming back to. A real gem in Otley — highly recommend!
What a wonderful way to end a woodland walk with the dog and family, than with some fantastically, delicious vegan food 💚 They even had a stand full of handmade dog treats. Super helpful, friendly staff, who clearly enjoy their jobs. If we're every in Yorkshire again, we will have to visit for more yumminess 😋
Really enjoyed brunch at Mistal cafe - so many vegetarian options. Delicious food, friendly staff, cosy atmosphere and very convenient location for weekend walks.
Had the vegetarian breakfast which as a non vegetarian was surprisingly good! The beans were however absolutely awful and tasted of vinegar/tomato puree? which got my indigestion going. There seemed to be loads of staff, tripping over each other having a social, but you have to go to the till to order, I guess to save their poor legs. Service was slow for me but I guess others have time to kill. Would probably go back even though I missed my bacon!
I am very saddened to write this review having had many lovely visits to Mistal. I went with my daughters on new year's day - it wasn't very busy we waited over 15 minutes for coffees to be served (3rd attempt after 2 wrong attempts). The food arrived after another 15 minutes - the poached eggs (turkish eggs) were cold and the bread portion accompanying it was meagre. The cafe was cold - it was a cold day so would have expected it to be warm and inviting. I did feel that the staff were unwelcoming and that my presence there was not really wanted - my daughters felt the same. Very disappointing as I have always enjoyed my visits (including supper club) went new year's day last year (sat at the same table) and it was a very different experience!'
