Dragon City

Has this place changed hands? if so not for the better.food arrived late,cold and with a starter item missing,which tbf was delivered later after we had eaten!!!wont be using them again.cant fault the delivery guys manners though.also had to go out for cash as they no longer take cards.defeating the object of my lazy day a bit.oh well you can't win them all. Shame it used to be pretty good.

I think 1hr 45 minutes for a delivery order is extremely poor especially when the expected delivery time given when placing the order was 45 minutes. I understand businesses can get busy but they should give you a more realistic delivery time, then you have a choice to wait or cancel your order. When the food eventually arrived the quality of the food was very poor. .Needless to say I won't be ordering again from Dragon City.

We’ve recently moved next to Dragon City and have been hesitant to try it due to the reviews. However we gave it a go tonight and was pleasantly surprised! Service friendly and food was hot, fresh and tasty. The salt and pepper chicken and chips were especially nice. We did walk in and order so think based on other reviews this is probably the best option as the delivery orders don’t seem to have been as good!

Edit December 2025: Im pretty sure it's not the same chef any more, had long gap and ordered two times recently and meals are different in taste and composition. For some reason my favourite deep fried dumplings are regular gyozas now (luckily the sauce is the same). Hot and sour soup is tasteless and other dishes completely different, still good but as great as it was before. Staff is fantastic 👏 Original 2019: My favourite chinese take away in Otley. Ask chef for Chinese mushrooms and extra spicy if you like it. Plenty of choice, tofu dishes available. My best is chicken Kung-Po and szeczuan style dishes. Bamboo and water chestnut dish also recommended. Delivery service. Cash only.

Used to swear by this place but the last couple of times we used it the standards have dropped. Ordered online and was given a collection time of 8pm. Went to pick it up at 8 and ended up waiting until 8.30 with a lot of others in the same boat. Food when I got it home was ok but a couple of dishes like the pancake rolls were really greasy. To top it off one of the dishes used chicken and not the king prawn we ordered and paid for and they had not cooked the sweet and sour so we ended up a dish short and £11.40 out of pocket ( beware ordering online as you are forced to order a side of rice or noodles which you have to pay for ! ). Won't be using them again after it being our go-to place for 20 years !
