We came here for a nice walk through Chevin Forest Park. To our unpleasant surprise this turned out to be a paid parking. Why you'd need to pay for such a parking is beyond me there is literally nothing there but a bit of concrete road. On top of that there isn't a machine avalaible for payment, instead you have to download some app to enter your license plate and pay for 2, 4 or 24 hrs. At least it isn't too expensive but it feels quite ridiculous. I hope they at least put the money into preservation of the woods or something because it really is a nice area and would love to come again.
Free carpark but no facilities. I visited on a Sunday in October and there were still spaces at 11:15am. I’d tried both Lower & Upper Shawfield Car Park first and these were both full.
Great place to see these beautiful butterflies. The Green Hairstreak. Please respect their habitat as colonies of this species are disappearing through various reasons. They are incredibly beautiful to sit and watch as they flutter around.
Great place to park to walk up to the rocks to watch the planes cone in to Leeds Bradford
Good space, but very busy.
