The Lamb Inn

We called in here for a drink after walking in the area. A lovely country pub.

Small country pub with a nice selection of beers. We booked a table for the Tuesday steak and wine night. 2 rump or sirloin steaks, salad, sauce, choice of homecooked chips or jacket potato with a bottle of wine £35:00. Great value and cooked perfectly. Very good choice of desserts at £5:00. The rhubarb, ginger and orange crumble, excellent.

Went in for a drink with husband, son and grandson. The landlord served us with our drinks but I couldn’t have met a more miserable and unwelcome man. Everyone stared as we walked in, as if we had no right to be there. Exactly like the slaughtered lamb from the film, American werewolf in London. Only gave 2 stars as the toilets were clean, or it would have been 1.

We visit the UK twice a year and have had many, many "barmeals". Most of them were good, some not. The Lamb Inn is absolutely the best so far!. Last evening we were a party of six and all of us ordered different dishes. One of the meals had to be gluten free. The meals were served the at the same time , they were big and absolute delicious. The Lamb Inn is beautiful located and very cosy with great service. We will go back by sure and if it good I would rate them "a sky full of stars".

Great beer. Cozy pub. Had the place to ourselves was amazing.
