Waggon & Horses
About
Description
The Waggon & Horses was a traditional inn established in an enviable elevated position on the edge of the Yorkshire Pennines, just outside the quaint village of Oxenhope and the tourist mecca of Haworth. Dating back to the 1850’s, the inn used to offer a horse and cart ferry service across the spine of the Pennines to those in need, which gave rise to the name of the inn.
Whilst retaining all of its traditional charms, the Waggon & Horses has now been extensively refurbished to present a country inn with fine dining. With views stretching to as far as Ingleton from the outdoor terrace in summer, or through the window from in front of the fire when it’s a bit chilly; the Waggon & Horses offers an a truly elegant place of respite in the wilderness.
The Waggon & Horses is not your average pub, although you may be forgiven to think as such with the range of cask ales, extensive wine list, and open fires. Food is our mission, and our ethos is quite simple: A fine dining experience, but in a more informal and relaxed atmosphere.
We hope to see you soon.
