Kell House Bed & Breakfast

What a fabulous stay with Jonathon and Heather whilst attending a family wedding nearby. The rooms are all beautifully appointed, with lovely little touches like home made cake and fresh milk in the room. Jonathon and Heather were so helpful and accommodating, with every request met with “Of course, no problem!” The breakfasts were fantastic with a wide range of choice and all beautifully prepared and served with a smile. We can’t recommend Kell House highly enough.

What an amazing place! We were visiting for a family party in the town. Our stay at Kell House made the experience even more special. The hosts, the room, the delicious breakfast. Everything about our stay was perfect. If you are visiting Pateley Bridge you must stay here!

The breakfast is incredible. Cooked to order and to perfection. There was a variety of choice and you can have as much as you need. My wife and I stayed for three nights and just didn't need food for the rest of the day! Well, not until an evening meal. We ate locally in the evenings, two different pubs, one a short drive away, and the local Itallian... All reasonably priced in pleasant surroundings. Kell House also delivers on cleanliness, comfort and style, all topped off with friendly, helpful interesting hosts who made us feel welcome and 'at home' Our room was delightful. 2nd floor with lovely views, comfortable bed/pillows and was ensuite. The local village of Pateley Bridge is well situated with ease of access to some stunning scenery, historic locations as well as shops if needed. Would we ever consider staying again.... most definitely, we'd love to return and do/see even more... Thank you both, Lisa and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Why are we writing this review over a year after our stay? Because even after this long time, we continue to reflect and talk about not only how lovely our stay at Kell House was, but also how kind and hospitable the hosts, Heather and Jonathan, were. We received a very warm welcome with great efforts to make our stay comfortable and personalized with lots of attention to detail. We are in a unique position to write this review because we used to live in Kell House years before it became a B&B. It was special then, but with the creative and loving way Heather and Jonathan have remodeled and updated this house, it is truly a gem. Calling this place a bed and breakfast is an understatement. The bedrooms were beautiful and the food was fabulous thanks to Jonathan who was formerly a Ritz Carleton chef. We look forward to staying with Jonathan and Heather at Kell House the next time we are in North Yorkshire. Thank you for such a lovely stay. Becky & Rob, Virginia USA.

Absolutely lovely Easter weekend spent at Kell House. Jonathon and Heather were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean and the breakfasts were delicious. My wife has coeliac disease and Jonathan reassured her that a different toaster would be used and that gluten free alternatives were available. Thank you both for making our special weekend so enjoyable. 5 ***** plus
