A fascinating historical Church, I was fortunate enough to meet the organist and listen to some beautiful music whilst I admired the architecture, he also explained a little about the history of the Church and it's links to York Cathedral. Interestingly, this could be the site of St Patrick's tomb. As pictured it far outdates the rest of the building. I highly recommend you visit this amazing place of worship.

St Patrick's church Patrington is often referred to as the queen of Holderness. Dateing back to the thirteenth century this stunning building admired by architectural historians, is grade l listed, the church is about 150 feet long with a Spire 175 feet high, dominating the local landscape. It is a beautiful building well worth a visit, some interesting carvings in tree trunks outside the church.

Stunning medieval church with both exterior and interior beauty. Striking reredos with statues of northern saints. Prayerful Lady Chapel with historic and enigmatic statue of the Virgin Mary. Medieval font and large plain windows. Modern tree trunk carving of St Patrick's Breastplate in the churchyard. Highly atmospheric.

Splendid church and in very good condition. Few people seem to stop in Partington as they are hurrying to Spurn Point to find to find a parking place and jostle with the crowds trying to find remote wilderness. Located in the unfashionable south East of Yorkshire far away from the trendy Whitby and Robin Hoods bay and protected by the metropolis and industry of Hull. Partington is a lovely oasis of calm and their church more so.

Wonderful church, stands in a commanding position in the village centre. A free car park is available right next to the church. The interior is quite beautiful, well worth a visit.
