Entered my second 'advice' form within a week this morning following ongoing chesty cough (I'm asthmatic) that was affecting my breathing. Received a text (& NHS App msg) an hour or so later asking me to make an appointment. Saw a Doctor later in the day. She said there was still no infection. Cough medicine it is then. Well impressed with the swift treatment. Thankyou.
The system of booking an appointment is crazy. I would just like a routine appointment for my daughter nothing urgent. Normally you would call a doctor’s to arrange it. Now I have to wait for the golden window of opportunity, and fill in a form online from 6am. You are only allowed to use the form when the doctor permits. 2.30pm in the afternoon and the doctor as already closed the form for the day! What a stupid system..
I’ve been with Penistone Group Practice for a little while, and I honestly can’t praise them enough. I’ve never needed to use a GP service as much as I have this past year while navigating menopause, and throughout that time they have been consistently supportive, understanding and reassuring. What really stands out is how well organised and efficient the practice is. Their online/text service is excellent- being able to message through the website and get a quick, clear response has made such a difference, especially when you’re dealing with ongoing symptoms or concerns. Every interaction I’ve had has been friendly, professional and genuinely caring. They’ve made managing multiple ailments feel far less overwhelming, and my quality of life has improved because of the support I’ve received. I feel listened to and well looked after, which isn’t something everyone can say about their GP. A fantastic practice- efficient, approachable and truly patient-centred.
Excellent experience both with the new triage booking system and with the follow up appointment. Seamless process so much better than the system of old where you could be in an endless telephone queue. Dr Vas, very thorough and professional, all in all 5 star service and we are very lucky to have you. Thank you Penistone Group Practice.
Great service, seen promptly and on time for appointment with the doctor and follow up blood test. Staff were knowledgeable, professional and polite and listened to my problem. Easy to check in with the touch screen and plenty of seating in the waiting room. I was also kept up to date with the NHS app.
