Penistone Beer Shop

Exceptionally poor online ordering experience. Ordered six beers. Delivery arrived with one beer missing and a note in the box advising it was unavailable. No attempt to call or email to advise of this before shipping. No refund has appeared in my bank yet for the missing beer although I've been told one is on the way. Shipping took a week despite it costing a penny shy of £9. It was also shipped to the wrong address, and only a sharp eyed DHL driver who regularly delivers to me spotted that there was a parcel for me heading for elsewhere on my street. I'm sure the beers are great but caveat emptor!

Fantastic. Great selection of local and world beers. Large car park at Tesco next to the shop.

The only major is issue is the long climb upstairs ! The shop itself is spacious and well laid out, with beers racked by style (pale, Ruby & stout). Fruity versions are found within a style. The is also a Euro/world beers section along with space for a few seltzers and wines. Look out for the Bradfield party casks ! I think there are around 250 different beers, and it's amazing how many beers are kept in such a small space. The is something for every Real Ale drinker here.

Fantastic assortment of ales, lagers, stouts and ciders. Lots of local brewers to purchase and support. Chap who runs it is very knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing, especially if you want something different to what you'll find in the mainstream shops.

Cracking little shop with regular new additions to its large stock of goodies. Plenty of great value beers to be had !
