I haven’t stayed in a cottage before, so I may not be the best judge but I know for sure this one will stay in my memory as the coziest, most bibliophile-friendly place I’ve ever experienced. Every corner felt colorful, thoughtful, and beautifully aesthetic. I couldn’t help but take photos of every nook, it was that Instagram-worthy. I loved noticing all the little details: a book by a Pakistani author in Kirsty’s lovely collection, two framed texts that were especially moving, and the clever upstairs shop where I couldn’t resist buying a few things. The bathroom’s quirky light pull made me smile, and the free keychain really was the cherry on top. 🌻 I only wish I’d had more time to pick a movie from the collection and leave a recommendation in the pages provided. Kirsty was so forthcoming and open to suggestions. I left inspired with so many ideas for my own home.🤩 Great base for Peak District !
We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The main road is fairly busy and you hear it from the accommodation. The accommodation is set down a short, steep lane, which can only be turned into from Penistone by using the full width of the main road. I preferred to go on up the road and turn round rather than hold up the traffic. That is the only fault with this place, and there is plenty of parking on the main road if you prefer. The accommodation was clean and well presented. There was plenty of space for the two of us. Wifi is fast and accessible throughout the property. We arrived during a heatwave and the downstairs living room was refreshingly cool. There is a small, well provisioned kitchen downstairs and bathroom and good sized bedroomupstairs.There are plenty of amenities nearby. The Huntsman was very good for food and friendly. The pizzas from Pizza Place were lovely. There are good walks nearby and plenty to visit in the area. This was a good base for the peak district.
Excellent location, just a short 10 minute drive to Langsett res. The house was cosy and homely and offered a peaceful resting place. Kirsty was welcoming and the perfect host!
Found on air BNB was a great little home away from home. Close to a nice pub and access to peak district. Had a great stay
