Potter Hill Fish & Chip Shop

I've had a lot of fish and chips all ovwr the country and have to say Potter hill chippy is the best I've had. The fish is always fresh, meaty and lightly battered. The staff are always friendly and the wait isn't too long, despite being so popular.

It was very busy when we arrived. We ordered our food and it was ready in about 15 minutes. I had fish and chips with scraps and they were delicious. Chips were nicely cooked, not like the blanched offerings at some places. The fish was nice and white and the batter was crisp and golden. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Well worth a visit.

All very nice I enjoyed my fish and chips only thing was.. Small potions and I got large fish because they didn't have xl but it wasn't filling and the chips weren't the best I left a lot of hard small bits of which they were a few.

I highly recommend this place. I phoned to ask if they take card (they do) and the very helpful person recommended we order ahead because she predicted it would be busy later. We took her advice and only had to wait a few mins when we came to collect. Lovely fish, chips and battered sausage. Will be back if we ever pass through Pickering again

Here's a real fish and chip shop. I mean real, proper nourishing fish and chips. It does good food, well. Just what I needed after a long journey. The people are lovely too.
