The southern terminus of the magnificent North York Moors Railway. Beautifully restored to how it would have looked in the 1930s, when it was part of the LNER network. Tea room is small but does lovely cakes and pies and you can always take your food out onto the platform to watch the trains
Slamming you back in time. Wonderful train station. Worth a visit and if time is not an issue hop on the train for a journey back in time🚞
Great place for a snack
Came here with the children, and they loved it. We sat on the platform so we could see the trains come in which they thought was fantastic. Super friendly staff, and the food was good too. (Excellent coffee).
Love to visit as often as possible. Staff very friendly. Sit outside the buffet bar with our dogs watching the different trains & staff going about their business with pride. Lovely to see the teenagers helping out & always well mannered. Recently watched wedding taking place on the station, was Lovely to see. Another occasion a wedding reception being held with all party boarding the steam train in all their fineries!! Lovely experience & wouldn't hesitate recommending a visit. Keep up the good work guys, really appreciated. See you again soon!! X
