In agreement with other reviews, very overpriced. Rude (presumably) manager. I think Mind charity shops do tend to be a bit heavy on their pricing. However, I took some items of studio pottery to the till, & asked (in as polite a way as possible, even saying I didn’t want to cause offence) if there was any negotiation room on a tiny jug that was priced at £7:50 (studio pottery, unknown mark, modern not particularly refined piece, but quite nice glaze but not amazing). The (presumably) manager inserted herself & asserted that the pricing was ‘very well researched’ (clearly not). She then said that they had to ‘get the best price for the charity’. A sentiment I wholeheartedly agree with, but I pointed out to her that if it’s over priced (which it was) it will just sit on the shelf unsold. Nothing wrong with the actual words she used (I agree, they need to make money for the charity, & I was wanting to help the charity by buying from them and having donated a lot of good items to this particular charity - different branch though - previously). There was everything wrong with her delivery & demeanour though, rude (inserting herself into the conversation), condescending (looking at me like something she’d stepped in) and confrontational (in tone). I left without buying anything, & won’t be rushing back. Things are only worth the price people are prepared to pay, and when you add rudeness/condescension into the equation, it’s very off putting. (The staff/volunteers in Pocklington branch are lovely and things are more reasonably priced).

Called in today when passing through the area. Totally over priced to the point of greed and corruption. Piles & piles of clothes in the back clearly visible . Rails packed full of over priced clothes that tight you couldn’t move them. £60 for a seasalt dress that is available on there eBay shop for £30? Yes seasalt have aBay shop where they sell off there old stock. The manger of this shops needs to be reviewed as somthing serious wrong here.

Obscenely expensive prices to the point of greed, I've no idea if this is representative across all the Mind stores or just this one, but whoever is pricing is way out of touch for a charity shop. £30 for some tatty Nike trainers, £12.50 for Adidas shorts. This is the same price you would find these items new on-sale or in an end of season outlet. I'm all for supporting charity but the prices were far too greedy and need to be at-least 50% cheaper. This one was the most expensive out of a row of 4/5 charity shops by a significant margin.

Massively overpriced. £11.50 for two very thin paperback sf books…..not a chance. Triple the price on everything compared to everywhere else
