17 Burgate House Hotel B&B

17 Burgate offers a warm and generous personal welcome with a teatray of delicious homemade cakes! The accommodation is very clean and tastefully decorated along with thoughtful extra touches such as sherry in the room. Ashley and Alan make an excellent team where everything runs calmly and smoothly and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast offers a wide selection of quality food along with Alan's superb cooked to order dishes. The beautiful period house with the pretty garden is a very comfortable home from home setting from which to visit the welcoming market town of Pickering, the nearby church with medieval wall paintings and the beautiful Yorkshire landscape in which it is set. This is an absolute gem of an establishment which is run with the guest experience at the core of their ethos.

17 Burgate offers you a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of life. Our visit was partly business but mostly to mark a significant birthday which was beautifully marked by Ashley with an unexpected surprise of scones and cake accompanied by some fabulous bubbles. The room was perfect, the location was perfect and our hosts were perfection in motion. Loved every minute and we will be back. Thank you for creating a memory we will never forget. Tony and Alicia

This is such an amazing find. From the moment we arrived to the very last moment Ashley made this feel like we were good friends and went above and beyond each day to make our stay perfect. The garden is a real sanctuary to chill with a lovely cup of tea. Rooms so beautifully decorated,spotless and beds so comfortable. As for breakfast Ashley and Allan had everything we could have thought of and attention to detail perfect. We will definitely be back. Thank you Hazel and Hilda xx

Alan and Ashley are charming hosts who do everything they can to make a stay 17 Burgate a comfortable and memorable experience. 17 Burgate is a beautiful building which is newly decorated and spotless. Just come home after staying at this home from home b&b and we was treated by Alan and Ashley with the upmost respect the room was 5 star the breakfast was5 star the total experience at 17 Burgate was outstanding. We have allready booked for next year and can see this being our regular North Yorkshire retreat Thankyou so much for your kindness and generosity. X
