Pickering Dog Fields

Oh my goodness! Such a well kept secret that people NEED TO KNOW ABOUT! I took my two dogs for the first time this afternoon; I visit my dad in Pickering every week and drive past this place each time but hadn’t thought to book a slot until today. One of my dogs is dog reactive and the other is very highly prey driven so they cannot be let off the lead on walks. I chose the smaller of the fields in case they didn’t get into it, and even that was huge. After sniffing around for five minutes or so I ran with them and they started playing and had the best game ever, choosing to stay in the longer grass. We had a go on the agility equipment with mixed success 😂 and I took plenty of water for them, as advised. A guy was with his dogs in the next door field and my dogs had no idea. Such a brilliant 30 minutes and £5 very well spent. I shall be coming every week.

We stayed near here for a long weekend and wanted to give our boy a good run before our journey home. I booked the George field online. It was easy to book and pay for. The price is very reasonable at £5 for 30 mins. I received a confirmation email and a reminder with the gate code. This is a brilliant field. It's well looked after. The grass was a good length and the fences high and secure. I loved the agility equipment. Considering the George field is the smaller of the two this was a big field for any size dog to have a good run. I highly recommend and when we visit the area again we will definitely book the field again.

The fields were just a short walk from the nearby caravan park where we were staying. Online booking was straightforward and access instructions were clear. The field was enormous, well maintained, very secure and represented good value for money. The only negative was the cigarette butts left in the grass around the picnic table by some inconsiderate users of the human variety. Other than that, this is an excellent facility that we would certainly use again (a lovely addition would be a little digging area/sandpit).

Good size fields for dogs to run around. Shame some people don’t clean up after there dogs. Nice shed to keep out of the rain and to dry dogs before putting in car.

Lovely field. Clean and well looked after. Perfect space for my rescue dog, who nomally has to be on the lead, to run free. She loves it here and has even mastered the tumnel and tyres. Easy to book and reasonably priced. If it was closer to me, we would be in there every day
