Fir Tree Barn Guest House Pollington

Wonderful B&B. Very comfortable, immaculately clean, quiet area (and quiet in the B&B) and friendly, responsive host. Breakfast is help yourself continental and is plentiful, plus there’s a kitchen to use if you want to sort dinner without going out. Easy access from the motorways and close to Castleford for the ski slope and outlet shopping, Would recommend for short or long stays. We will definitely stay again if we need somewhere in the area.

Really nice stop over, we upgraded to a king-size room, very spacious. Self service breakfast had so much choice, inc fresh fruit salad, eggs, pastries. Secure parking a bonus.

I can't say enough about this wonderful place! The owner was kind and welcoming. Iain helped us get settled in and the rooms were immaculately clean and orderly (which I truly appreciate). Beds were comfy and I've never seen a bathtub so clean! Breakfast was absolutely amazing! It was self serve and had SO many choices, I couldn't choose what to eat! There were even fresh eggs that you could use to make yourself breakfast. Laundry room was MORE than appreciated!!!! It IS a pay as you use, but reasonable and the ONLY place that offered this to us. Pollington is SUCH a sweet, peaceful town and thanks to staying here, it is now my favorite place in England! Parking was great and in a protected area. Btw ...fan, hairdryer, and toiletries included. The ONLY thing missing was a box of Kleenex and maybe some lotion for the ladies staying here. About 12 miles away is a town called Howden and the Chinese food restaurant there is not only fantastic but has a view of Howden Minster right in front of it!!!! Do not miss this gem of a place! You won't be disappointed!!!

This place was fantastic. Secure off street parking. A short walk to a great local pub. Buffet breakfast delightful.

We stayed in the guesthouse for 1 night. Our room was very spacious and perfectly clean. The bed was very comfortable! It was also great to have a private place to park our car safely. All together lovely place, very welcoming host, breakfast was good too! The kitchen where the breakfast is at is also immaculately clean and well equipped. Will definitely come again when in the area.
