About Light Up 2024 Events:

The Light Up events are an annual highlight, celebrating the start of the festive season with spectacular light displays, live performances, and vibrant markets. These events attract thousands of visitors, providing a unique platform for businesses to connect with a broad audience.

Wakefield Light Up

• Date: Friday 15th - Sunday 17th November 2024
• Time: 12pm - 8pm
• Location: Wakefield City Centre
• Highlights: Christmas lights switch-on, light trail, Christmas market, live music, and street food.

Castleford Light Up

• Date: Tuesday 19th November 2024
• Time: 12pm - 6pm
• Location: Castleford Town Centre
• Highlights: Christmas market, funfair rides, live performances, and a life-size snow globe experience.

Pontefract Light Up

• Date: Sunday 24th November 2024
• Time: 12pm - 6pm
• Location: Pontefract Town Centre
• Highlights: Christmas lights switch-on, large market, live entertainment, and a visit from the Haribo gold bear.
