So I ordered a jacket potato with cheese beans and a side salad -my friends ordered soup of the day - I came in a cup on saucer -they said it was like “ watered down tinned tomatoes -my jacket spud looked like a bowl of vomit - I sent it back - the woman behind the counter said “ what’s wrong wth it “ I said it’s not edible It’s in a pasta bowl - microwaved.

Locke Park Café is the sort of place that makes you wonder why you’d ever bother with your own kitchen. Nestled within the picturesque Locke Park, it’s like someone took a slice of paradise and added a coffee machine. The café’s charm is undeniable – it’s as though it’s trying its best to be the café equivalent of a warm hug. The staff are a cheerful bunch, so much so you’ll be half-expecting them to offer you a cup of tea and a natter about the weather. Anna was very helpful, if this was a maccas then she should definitely get an extra star. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The menu is a delightful selection of treats. From breakfast that could potentially solve your Monday blues to cakes that might just make you question your willpower, there’s something for every taste. The coffee is brewed to perfection, and if you’re a tea specialist, you’ll be pleased to know they’ve got options to make your taste buds do a happy dance. The place is cleaner than your Aunt Mabel’s finest china, and it’s got an ambiance that says “relax, we’ve got this”. Whether you’re a local or just wandering by, Locke Park Café is a splendid little spot to park yourself for a while and enjoy some top-notch fare in a setting that’s prettier than a postcard. In short, it’s a gem. Give it a go – your taste buds will thank you, and you might even leave with a bit of a smile (or at least a cake-induced sugar high).
