A fairly busy (on a Tuesday early evening) Wetherspoons pub. I was alone and felt the layout was 100% set up for people wanting meals which was a little off putting. Even getting to the bar was a battle through dining tables Good choice of beers and very cheap prices as you would expect.
Very prompt bar service from happy friendly bar staff. Ordered food via the app & again the delivery of the included drinks was friendly & quick. The food was very good for the price paid & the pub is not tired & worn like some Spoons can be. My 3rd pint was a 5% Oakham brewery Sunset pale ale at an amazing price of £1.79 - part of Spoons beef festival. We wouldn’t hesitate to return to this pub should we find ourselves in the area again.
Was in here for lunch 2 days in a row. Great service. Had the Christmas dinner today, and not being a lover of mash potato, I asked if I could possibly swap it out for a few chips instead. Wasn't a problem. What I ended up with exceeded my expectations.... and we thoroughly enjoyed our first Christmas dinner of the year! Shout out to the young lady with the short blonde hair (didn't get her name), but great service.
My girlfriend forgot her ID, and was going to get kicked out at 8, so we drove all the way to Stockton to get it, while leaving a couple of us on the table. While we were gone, our driver's drink was taken because "there was an under 18 at the table"? Huh? How's that make sense? When we got back, he asked for it back, and they refused. He asked for the manager's name, they refused. He went to take a picture to complain, and practically got shoved over a table by the bouncer who was throwing him out.
We visited this lovely Wetherspoons pub on a Sunday morning and enjoyed a lovely breakfast. The staff were very welcoming and we were served promptly. The food was delicious and piping hot. There was plenty of seating available and the pub was very clean and well maintained.
