Between the sea front and the shopping precinct. Excellent little 'chippy' with hot fresh food, hot and cold drinks, comfy seating, friendly helpful staff.
I had fish and chips with curry sauce yesterday. It was delicious. The batter was nice and crispy, the fish was nice and flakey and the chips were excellent! We live in Whitby so we’re surrounded by fish and chip shops. I enjoyed The Little Chip as much as any around here. Will definitely return when in Redcar.
Should be called the little thief £11.40 for large cod and chips with curry . Fish not large minimum amount of chips shame tasted nice.should of gone back with them but by the time driving home lost the will.
Really disappointed with my food today. Large sausage and chips with curry sauce and a bottle of pop £9.80, and was the smallest portion of chips ever. Chips were tasteless and undercooked , sausage which was two small ones which I presume was so they fit in the tiny box had hardly any batter on. Curry sauce was also lacking taste and was just watery. I have to say in my opinion the worst and most overpriced chippy in Redcar. Definitely won’t be trying again. Looking round the rather small portions and anemic chips were a common occurrence. Very disappointing.
Only visit this chip shop when I see family up north (we call it the green fish shop) hands down this is he best on up there. Staff always helpful and lovely, prices are fair and food delicious. Husband always gets large fish and chips and is always happy with it, I always get mini cod (pictured) and chips and it's perfect, my favourite fish and chips. My old disappointment is that it's hard to get seating but we hang around long enough and we get one so win win. Well done and keep doing what you do.
