I burst a tyre nearby. Was able to limp car into depot. Didn't have the tyre in stock and had to leave car overnight. Paid £70+ for a tyre I could have got for £50 elsewhere, but I had no choice. Useful service, open 7 days, but you pay for it.
Don't book online, if you need to make any amendments to the order it is overly complicated requiring you to phone customer services. Staff at garage also are very sales driven pressurising further purchases. Avoid! Use a local non franchised dealer! Far better service!
Nathan in Redcar was absolutely brilliant; friendly, honest and trustworthy. Garages get a bad rap and justifiably for their dishonesty. However that was not the case today, I felt like Nathan was honest transparent and when he asked me for an extra £80 for something I had no clue about i trusted him. He was friendly and personable with each customer, even those ones who were more difficult. He is a shining example what good service and good team work can do to buy in good loyalty to customers. This was the same in both other chaps in the garage, culture is clearly en pointe here.
Broke the ODB2 port on my Volvo V60 then denied it was them. I took my car in to have the brake pads replaced. They kept my car for two days and wouldn't answer any questions when I rang to query what the issue was. Eventually they said they couldn't fix the brakes because the ODB2 port was broken and the computer wasn't releasing the brake callipers. They admitted trying many computers unplugging and re-plugging in the computer multiple times. It was working the week before no issue for it's MOT. What actually happened is the computer couldn't release the brake callipers because they had seized shut. My usual mechanic had to release them manually. He confirmed the ODB2 port was now damaged. Kwik Fit was too busy destroying my cars ODB2 port by messing with it because they were too lazy to actually LOOK AT THE BRAKES!! They just kept shoving things into the port till they broke it. Then they gave my car back. Denied they broke it even though it was working when they first used it otherwise how would they know the car wasn't releasing the brake calliper, how would they have seen the option to try? After they broke it there was no connection at all. My mechanic confirmed it had been physically damaged too. Kwik fit are con artists. Do not use.
Great service for MOT, Tyre replacement and large service by Jonny. Really friendly team, can’t argue with the price and effective at repairing issues seen before MOT. Thanks again !
