If I could give SUB ZERO stars I would. Rang for an appointment. Girl on reception was dreadful. Just wanted me off the phone. I persisted. Then found out I was right, but can't give you a date or day or month when I can get my elbow drained of fluid from an accident 4 weeks ago. absolutely PATHETIC! It should be DEFUNDED.
tried to book an appointment to be told we cant book appointments, why?, i have to ring at 8 but as i cant ring at 8 because im at work they said well cant give you appointment all the doctors have left, they dont even have a nurse practitioner, iv been with this surgery all my life ,im 73 but time to find some where else,as this is shocking, plus the receptionists are terrible
Worst surgery I've ever been registered with. The receptionists treat you with contempt and the Doctors (when you get to see one) treat you like a number and don't listen. Their appointment booking system is terrible and if you dare ring them after 9am, you are fobbed off. You are told they will ring you without the slightest idea of a time. Even a 4 hour window would be nice. Needs improvement from top to bottom.
I have been with this practice for about 18 years now, I never used to have any bother getting to see a GP but, now it has totally gone down hill, I have rang early on a morning, rings out for a couple of seconds then the line goes dead, ring again the same thing happens, I eventually get through and low and behold, no appointments, not even for phone consultations, I have even gone to the surgery at 8 o'clock, and still told no appointments, I am asthmatic and having a lot of trouble with my breathing, I haven't had a asthma review for nearly 5 years, I have been to the walk in center because my breathlessness was so bad I was nearly passing out with it. The doctor whom I did see there had me taken to JC hospital as he thought I was having heart attack, which I knew it wasn't, at least he followed up on it. But he was also appalled as I hadn't had a review for my asthma. Then again I ended up at the walk in, this time the nurse there thought it might be viral infection, again it wasn't, and even she asked when was the last time I had asthma review. I have rang the surgery for a review, and my appointment is for June 7th, That is a disgrace as I need to see somebody before then, my asthma is out of control, I have also tried the website, I get so far and it says to seek medical advice from GP. This surgery does not seem to have the standard of care for there patients like they used to.
Last Tuesday 11/10/22 I rang and asked for a prescription for blood pressure tablets and told the receptionist I only had 2 tablets left this is because my tablets were changed mid prescription too the rest of my medication. She told me she had put it through for me. When Thursday came I rang the pharmacy to see if they had my prescription and if they were delivering today as I had no tablets for tomorrow, she said they didn't have it and she would ring the Doctors and chase it up. Friday came I rang the Doctors to be told it was waiting to be signed by a Doctor I asked if she would ring me back and let me know what was happening as I had already missed one days tablet. She did not ring back. I rang the Doctors again Friday evening as I still had not heard anything I was put on hold for ages and then told it has been sent to the Pharmacy who I then rang to see if they had got it and was told to ring back Saturday morning.I rang them and eventually got my tablets Saturday. There was no apology from the Doctors I had a constant headache as 5 months prior to been put on blood pressure tablets I had very high BP and spent the day at James Cook hospital sent there by a GP from the Coatham Surgery as an emergency. I am not happy at the service I received.
