Lovely guest house, great room, comfortable bed and nothing was too much trouble. I had a problem with my car when I arrived so Steve took it to a local garage the next day while I was on training, kept me up to date and collected it when it was mended. Such kindness was much appreciated. Thank you Steve 😊
Another great stay at abbey guest house, Steve and Anne are great host, 5 star service and highly recommended, all the best Nigel and Carol.
Booked with Steve and Anne to stay here at short notice and everything was met by the hosts upon arrival. Very nice people and the guest house was lovely too. All very clean, tidy and comfortable.The location is great and I would definitely recommend this accommodation as I know I'll be calling them as soon as I know I'm coming back to Teesside!
We stayed at the abbey 25/7 for 2 nights, lovely clean room, bathroom also, location excellent, breakfast very good, cooked well and nothing too much trouble, very friendly welcome, steve was a fantastic host with great knowledge of the area, steves wife very nice, a lovely couple who put all their energy into their buisness, great sleep very comfy beds, nice to have extra,s with the toiletries supplied, they have thought of everything !!! I would give them 10/10 for everything, no negatives at all. If you want a good b@b go and stay at the Abbey you wont regret it. !!! Fantastic place and i will certaintly return, looking forwards to our next visit.
Firstly, I'd like to point out that the photos do not do justice to just how lovely the rooms here are. Cute and cozy without being cluttered or losing its modern feel. Very comfortable, we didn't want to leave. All else I can say is that the owner (or at least the one we were lucky enough to deal with on our one night stay) was a gem of a human. Perfectly friendly, interesting to talk to and didn't hover or overstay his welcome (not that I believe he could, we would have happily gone for a few drinks with him). Good local knowledge and direction giving. Would definitely recommend and would love to stay again!
