We arrived late (after 9pm) due to long travel time and we'd communicated with the team in advance. A friendly welcome and the relevant instructions were provided to get to our room. When we got to the room, everything was clean and well presented, but cold 🥶. I found out the following morning that one of the windows had been left on vent. We asked for a bit of heat and the lad kindly obliged while we went to stretch our legs along the seafront. The en-suite needs a little bit of tlc as the toilet wobbled when you perched on it and if you ran the tap too long the shower tray became an overflow. Honestly, it didn't spoil the visit as we were too tired from the conference to care and the comfort of the bed was more than adequate! No photos or videos taken as I'm sure they'll resolve the little things as they are good folk!

When I checked in the manager was really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy, warm, basic but had everything I needed. The hotel was quiet and I had no problem parking. The location was perfect for my needs. Would and will be staying again.

My stay was the first week in march, still very much winter in the north east. After a day on site at work I’d go back to the lakeside where, the room was cold, the radiator too small for the room size and gave off little to no heat. Even after I’d turned it up. The shower barley warm and soon went cold. I’d sleep in my car before I stayed at the lakeside again.

Friendly and helpful host. Rooms a little tired looking. Curtains hanging off pole, mattress worn, four poster bed has screws protruding out, wallpaper peeling. Musty smell in room on arrival, light not fully secured to ceiling. Room does come with tea and coffee facilities. En suite is just a diagonal partition in corner of room without ceiling. Sea and boating lake views are nice.
