wraycroft cottages

A friend and I spent a week in Cedarcroft in May '25 and afterwards I sent this to the owners: Hello Ray, Dave & Maeve, I am back in Vermont and grateful for a safe and wonderful time in England. We loved being at Wraycroft and in Reeth. It was my favorite time in our 3-week trip, and you all helped make it so. Cedarcroft was SO comfortable but the best part was your warm welcome and your helpfulness and kindness. I wish I could come back often! I am very happy that I was able to get there again to my favorite area of England. It is so beautiful and peaceful and my memories of the hills, the sheep, the birds, the pubs, the walks, the kindness of the people will long nourish me. Ray, I very much enjoyed my visits with you and just wish I had spent time with you each day! A trip can be fine in many ways, but the most important part of it is the people you meet, and England always reminds me of the goodness of people. Keep on enjoying your beautiful view and your lovely family. Let's keep in touch with email. If I am able to return to the UK I will head straight for Reeth and Wraycroft! This year my friend and I stayed at one of Wraycroft Cottages for the second year and loved the quiet peace and stunning views not to mention the warm and friendly welcome from the owner. The Yorkshire Dales are beautiful with lots of walks to enjoy for many abilities, looking forward to our next visit. Ann

You will not be disappointed if you are lucky enough to spend time at Wraycroft Cottages. Warm, cosy and spotlessly clean with wonderful views. Amazing gardens to explore on the banks of the River Swale. Just a few minutes walk to the village green with its selection of pubs, tea rooms and shops. Reeth is the perfect place to stay when exploring the surrounding Dales, but no need to venture far as there are amazing walks in all directions from your front door. We can't wait until our next visit to Wraycroft.

Having been Swaledale visitors many times previously this was definitely the best cottage we have had. Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. It has lovely views over the Swale to the green dale and heather-covered tops. Quiet location but 2 minutes walk to pubs and facilities of Reeth. Highly recommended.

A warm comfortable cottage with everything you need for your holiday. The cottages are set in lovely gardens with fanastic views and beautiful scenery with plenty of birds and wildlife to watch. It was lovely to speak with the owners who are on site to assist with you stay. Will definitely be returning and recommend these cottages for A peaceful idealic holiday- Andrew Gilbert and family
