It's not just the stunning scenery, it's the feeling you get here. A sense of calm, of history, and of being truly away from it all. Had interesting conversation with local Englishman.
This place is magical and it almost looks as if it is straight out of a fairy tale. The village is beautiful and the people are really nice. I and my husband went to a coffee shop and we asked for walks around the village and were helped by the lady at the restaurant.
What a gorgeous little village. I was so jealous of those sat out under umbrellas having a pint in the blistering heat. The village green was so picturesque and further up the hill the views were amazing.
A relatively easy place to visit in the spectacular Dales. Plenty of parking on or around the village green. I only parked there to go on a circular walk but there are plenty of eateries, a museum, tourist information etc. Stunning scenery all around the picturesque village.
Great for walking , miles of trails all over. Public toilet needs 20p. Good pubs for lunch, dogs are welcome in some.
