Have had odd bits and pieces from the deli and been impressed. Can highly recommend the pork pies, too. However, today was the first time I have dined in at The Pickled at Riccall, and I cannot praise the experience highly enough. Their Christmas Dinner was succulent roast beef, with all the usual trimmings, roast veggies, including beets and baby carrots. The dessert was the most amazing sticky toffee pudding I've ever had! The sponge was unusually light and the toffee sauce was served warm with vanilla ice cream and fresh blueberries. The portions were generous as well. The tables were laid with christmas crackers, and there was a choice between Bucks Fizz or prosecco. The staff were helpful, courteous and had happy smiles. In short, it was excellent, and I would highly recommend the place to anyone.
Had the Christmas dinner and thoroughly enjoyed every last mouthful, the meal was cooked perfectly and the sticky toffee pudding was amazing. The staff were plesent and attentive. Can't recommend this place enough, will definitely be eating here again.
Dog friendly great sauce on tap (brown). A fantastic little place for a bite to eat. Very friendly warm staff, well priced, with tasty food and coffee. Highly recommended if you’re passing by. P.s I mashed up the eggs before the photo!!
A brilliant breakfast or lunch stop. We cycled from York (around 15km) and had a beautiful seat in the sun. The bacon, brie and cranberry sauce sandwich was great and the service was warm, kind and welcoming.
One person on the counter 3 standing about, so very slow. Pastry are always burnt why? Tried the festive sausage rolls not my cup of tea, not sure if I will go back, if they get a new chef I will.
