Normally, when you have to pay to use a public convenience, they are clean as the charge goes towards upkeep of the facilities. Not the case here apparently. There was a foul odour inside. No toilet seat, the automatic lighting system turn off every ten seconds.
Charged 20p to use frankly disturbingly grubby facilities with toilets that do not flush, piles of excrement, and a barely operational hand washing system. Had to pay to park also meaning I paid an extortionate 90p for the displeasure. I'd assume this goes towards the maintenance of the toilets but after seeing the condition, it's clear this is not the case. Sort it out. Disgusting.
I'm very grateful that the toilets were here, as I was visiting the area, but you need 20p to enter, no option to pay by card. However a kind person coming out of the toilets let me in to use the facilities, I in turn held the door open for the next person. I would quite happily pay for parking in Richmond centre and have free toilets.
Stinky and grim. Silly soap, water, Air dispenser. Serves its purpose. 20p.
