The Turf Hotel

One night stay for 2 adults 1 child. Friendly staff. Good location. Clean a d tidy. Thick towels. Comfy beds. A bit tired in places but perfect for what we needed. Full English breakfast was delicious. Recommended

From when we arrived we had a very good welcome The bar was lovely bar staff were very helpful Room was just what we needed Food was nice for a meal Breakfast was spot on service great Parking bit of a pain but this is a Richmond thing and not Turf Hotel We will return and if we get same service we will be Happy

One of the dirtiest rooms I have been in. I did not know, I had to share a bathroom and shower that were both dirty and uncleaned. We were told that no one else was staying at the hotel, but there was. I think another 3 rooms were occupied. And any of the pub visitors could gain access to the bathroom. (I could hear the bathroom doors opening and closing a lot) The one bedside table was very badly damaged. There was an ironing board in our small room. The TV was on the wall at 90 degrees to the bed. The waste bin next to the sink had not been emptied. We were told we had to go to a different hotel to get our breakfast, and had to be there before 9am as the kitchen is closed at 9am. A half mile walk in the rain to get your breakfast, is not the best way to start your day. On the Friday lots of blue bags, I think laundry bags, were left outside and along the passage walkway. No safety measures were considered when these were dumped here. We would have left that hotel, but our circumstances and trying to book another place at short notice was considered. My wife was so stressed and upset, I have never seen her in that state before.

Very unclean room. Had cobwebs on the ceiling. The toilet didn't work. I had to keep taking the lid off the top and hold down the ball cock to get it to fill with enough water to flush. The shower leaked water all over the floor. The window only opened about 6" and no fan. This didn't fair well with 80 degree f weather. However, the staff was amazing as was breakfast. They had a wonderful choice of ales also.

Excellent friendly service and good value for money, photo doesn’t do the food we ordered justice but it was very tasty and definitely worth doubling up on the burgers 🍔
