Chef Hong Kong

On holiday for a week over new year. Our first takeaway here and the recommendation came from a local. They said that the portion sizes might not be what your used too, but it's the best around here. Well the food was better than fantastic, tradionally & authentically cooked. And hey presto, nothing wasted as it was more than enough. 5 stars from us and do you know how hard it is to get a good Chinese 😉👍🏻

Long weekend away in Richmond, Gentleman in the pub recommended this take away and it didn’t disappointment. Beef and black bean sauce and salt and chilli beef both perfect. Spent £30 between two of us and had more than enough, will be back on next trip.

We ordered food for 3 people, everyone really enjoyed their dishes. The food really felt fresh the veg had a crunchy texture and was not greasy at all like some takeaways can be. My chow mein was great, also the ribs were perfect, juicy and came off the bone really easy. Really quick service too as it was ready to collect in less than 15 mins. If I had one small criticism I would say it could do with a bit more salt, but it doesn't really detract because you can always add more of your own soy sauce.

Overpriced and underwhelmed. Portion size was small with a very bland taste and was over powered by pepper. Sweet and sour source was flavourless and was just a sticky oranges sauce. To top it off, I thought some complementary prawn crackers would be a given for an order nearly £80! We won’t be ordering from here again.

We stay at the caravan club site a couple times a year and this was the first time using chef Hong Kong and we're so glad we did. The food was full of flavour, great portion sizes and quick service. It's not the cheapest Chinese take away around but you get what you pay for and we will definitely be going back here time and time again. We both had the same. Crispy chili beef, one with chips, the other with egg fried rice and prawn toast Couldn't fault a thing. Very impressed :)
