With the land that was readily available at the time of the conversion to the Friary Surgery. The best use of the land available for parking has been utilised. It should be remembered as the signs point out. The parking is for hospital users. Parking is always difficult on this site.
Are we now at a level that we rate our car parks? And who would use or not use this one in front of a doctor's surgery based on a rating? It's always full during Surgery time. Is that a good sign or does this merely say the surgery is busy and it's car park is too small? You will be the judge... Besides, adjacent to the surgery is a supermarket with a large car park that allows free parking for a couple of hours and there are always spaces.
The Friary hospital in Richmond is your typical small cottage hospital and as such this car park is a very welcome provision. Especially as parking in Richmond is pretty bad at all times. The car park is not very big enough for about 50 car at the most. But again the NHS has provided much needed facilities in this small town and long may it continue. The car park has a very traditional feel to it being cobblestone and located next the the historic Friary hospital and tower.
Car park attendant was lovely advised no spaces so was directed to go to supermarket, just before I left one space became free and he pointed me to it. Class sense of humor
