The Barber Richmond/Catterick

I want to highlight a situation that happened to me at The Barber today. I have been a regular customer of this place for almost four years. Overall, I was happy with the services provided, always gave tips, and knew all the employees. On some days, when you come for an appointment here, you have to wait 5-10 minutes for your turn. But I always thought it was ok and didn't see it as a big problem. However, for the first time ever, it was me who was 5 minutes late today. Because of this, they refused to give me a haircut, and I actually think it was fair. But they also charged me the full price for the service. Even though it wasn’t my fault, I am in no way justifying the fact that I was late. But I do think it is unfair to charge the full price for a service that was not provided, especially when I was only 5 minutes late. Because of this, I am disappointed with this attitude towards me as a regular customer. I guarantee that I will never come back to you again, and, unfortunately, I will recommend my friends not to come here either. Sorry.

I booked an appointment online, and I missed the time. This, I appreciate was completely on me, and my error. However, the customer service following this was abysmal. I understand that it was my error, and appreciated the need to cover the missed appointment by paying the fee - no complaints. I do take issue with the way in which I was treated when I called to try and rebook, very unhelpful and apathetic. Missed appointments happen, but the standard of customer service was appalling. Won't be using, or attempting to book with this barber shop again.

The best barbers in Richmond. Andrea and her team are genuinely the best in the business. The atmosphere the the shop is always amazing. Always feel welcome, nothing is ever to much trouble and the hair cuts are superb! Thanks as always, Carl and Jooles!

No one can compete with “The Barber Richmond/Catterick.” Andrea is the subject matter expert with anything barber related in this region. She always goes above and beyond for every customer making everyone feel welcome and at home with her quick wit & polite trivia. She also employs a young apprentice “Aaron”. He has gained experience extremely quickly which is entirely down to the extensive effort Andrea puts into her apprenticeship training regime. Aaron blow dried my hair today, he required no supervision. I have also seen Aaron cut numerous customers hair. I was very impressed and would happily let him do mine if my loyalties didn’t lie solely with Andrea. Great teamwork from all.

Friendly and really good. As a flying visit I couldn't be happier. Really recommend him
