Jem started looking after my hair a couple of years ago , he brings years of expertise to each appointment and makes sure he is providing the best consultation before touching a pair of scissors. That always adds up to leaving the salon feeling like a million dollars. He is Richmonds hidden gem and we are all so lucky to have him 😊

Had a wonderful family holiday in Richmond this past week but half way through I had a fall out with my hair. Have not been to a salon in a long time and I had started to loose my confidence because my hair had become unmanageable and unkempt to say the least. I was recommended Jem by a lady I met (always easy to offload your wows to a stranger) so I took the plunge and called his number - no answer so I breathed a sigh of relief. 5 minutes later he called me back, I explained my predicament but alas he couldn’t fit me in the following morning which was my last day. However this gorgeous man asked if I could come in at 6:30pm and I was in. As soon as I arrived he put me at ease and helped me to work out my new style. Jem took the time to work with me and understand what I needed. After an hour of hard work on this part but lots of laughter and what felt to me like a great night out I looked in the mirror to a transformed woman. In that hour not only did I get a fantastic haircut and style but this fabulous human turned me back into the confident woman I was from years back. My husband loves my new hair but also the old me that Jem has restored. I have discovered my new go to stylist and councillor ❤️ I have actually booked in for my next appointment with him 220 miles round trip is more than worth it for me ! Will post some before and after pics once I get my husband to use the camera. Can’t thank Jem enough for his fantastic work.

I went to see Jem working in Altered Image in Richmond. He was fantastic from start to finish. Listened to the vague ideas of what I wanted and then took my tired, dull hair and totally revamped it! I went for a complete new look and he filled me with confidence. I love the result and Jem is so easy to get on with that he made the experience a pleasure. I have already booked in for my next appointment and would recommend to everyone!

My daughters and I have all visited Jem for various hair cuts and colouring. We have all been really impressed. Hes very thorough and most importantly takes the time to listen to what we want whilst giving good advice. Will definitely be returning.

Jem has been cutting my hair for at least 18 years, I've had both long and short styles, straight and curly. He always understands what I'm looking for, sometimes better than I know myself, and colours are always great! Highly recommended.
