Calverts Carpets Ltd (Richmond)

Very pleased with my new carpets, and they were very helpful with achieving my slightly mad idea of rainbow stairs!!

3 carpet fitters arrived on the day to fit my £1100 bedroom carpet. They were smoking inside the van when they turned up (where my carpet was) After another 4 more cigarette breaks they left and left all the rubbish behind as they didn’t have time to go to the tip apparently. Upon inspection of the room we couldn't believe the state of the fitting. The whole carpet hadn’t been cut correctly and was visibly uneven. Pieces of string were hanging up around the skirting boards. None of the corners were stuck down or cut correctly. A big lump was going right through the middle of the room. Glue was left all up the skirting boards and paint has been chipped from them all around the room. My bed was also damaged. The fitters also refused to fit any underlay in my wardrobe room. mWe contacted Calvert's and another fitter came to correct the issues. He was with us for around 15 minutes if that and glued the corners down. The carpet was still absolutely shocking. We called again and another Gentleman came to inspect and couldn't believe how bad a job had been done. So for the third time I had to take time off work and remove the furniture from the room for someone to come and do what should have been done at the very beginning. The fitter came and yes the carpet will now do and he did fit underlay in my wardrobe room!!! but did we receive a courtesy call afterwards from Calvert's to check everything was ok? Of course we didn't! The customer service is absolutely appalling. I wouldn't spend another penny with this company after the way we have been treated. Once they have your money they couldn't care less!

Highly impressed with the service from the Richmond branch of Calverts. We needed high quality gel backed Commercial carpet at very short notice and Gary really went out of his way to find the right product for us at a very reasonable price. Absolutely brilliant experience in the Richmond Branch. Robert the Manager was so helpful, he emailed pictures and we managed to purchase without having to go into the store again. The fitters were polite and helpful. Thank you Robert and your team we highly recommend your branch and will purchase again Karen and Dave Eppleby.

Brilliant service from start to finish. Gary was really helpful. Enquired online, quick response to emails. Allowed me to take books home to choose and then fitted a week later. Fitters were really efficient and friendly. Reasonably priced as well. Would definitely recommend. Thank you.
