Nordkapp hiking boot in full grain Anfibio Culatte leather. I purchased these online in September 2024 and they arrived at the end of that month. I wear my boots for dog and leisure walking at least 6 days per week and often in mud and through water or wet grass. When in wet conditions I wear RAB Gortex gaiters to prevent ingress over the top of the boot. I applied Leder Gris regularly during the 1st few weeks and keep the boots clean and dry after wearing EVERY TIME (see photos). I have paired the boots with the Svartz Absorber footbed and wear them with Darn Tough hiking socks. They are exceptionally comfortable. These boots did take a lot of wearing in for me compared with my similarly priced Mammut boot I had previously but it has been worth the effort. These boots are THE most water repellent boots I've ever owned and the water literally runs off them even when in sustained wet conditions - see images just after walking. The leather is now creasing where my feet flex at the toes as expected but I'm seeing no evidence of the leather allowing any moisture to be absorbed at these locations as yet. I cannot recommend these highly enough and I know that I will be able to get them resoled when required, unlike my last two pairs of Mammuts, neither of which lasted beyond 3 years, even with my fussy aftercare!! 03/09/25 Boots nearly a year old now, still getting even more comfortable! Received brilliant service here as always. I have had a few pairs of new boots here and multiple re-soles, from alt-berg. I have always found the boots brilliant; comfortable, waterproof, supporting and easy to care for. Will very happily return for a new pair in the future.worth every penny as an investment in your feet and adventures. The staff are approachable, friendly and knowledgeable, able to confidently talk you through your outdoor adventures and the best products for your needs. On this visit I purchased a new pair of hiking boots, the old pair were 11 years old and still have a some life left. Also left another pair of walking shoes for re-soling.

I was really impressed with this outdoor boots factory shop. They have a huge selection of boots for all types of activities, along with plenty of accessories to go with them. What stood out most was their foot-scanning machine, a useful tool to help find the perfect fit, especially for those with wider feet. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful, taking the time to explain different options and make sure I chose the right pair. Overall, an excellent shopping experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for quality footwear and expert advice!

In the middle of a trading estate nestles the Altberg boot factory. The wonderful Paul not only helped with my current pair of Altberg Walking boots but also fitted me for a new pair. Unhurried and fully supported an excellent place to be fitted with British made boots. Call ahead and make an appointment for fitting, I was lucky it was quiet when I arrived. Thank you Paul.
