Rievaulx Abbey Car Park and Visitor Centre

A lovely setting for a stunning iconic structure. Parking-Pay by card/phone or at the English Heritage centre. See EH site for prices to enter. Small well stocked shop, toilets and a cafe... try the apple and pork pie! You can walk from Hemsley... approx 3 miles via Cleveland way. Some paths around the site are wheelchair friendly. Dont forget to do the small museum.

Lovely walk around the Abbey which is moderate and takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes. We were blessed with every good weather We ended our walk with tea and scones in the Abbey centre restaurant which is spotless and the staff are brilliant and helpful Very knowledgable about the area too Lovely experience x

Absolutely stunning abbey set in a beautiful setting. Even on a warm, sunny, Sunday afternoon is wasn't too busy. Unlike Fountains Abbey. Nice visitor centre and cafe. Initially, the carpark looks small but there is an overflow car park.
