Woldsend Holiday Cottages

After a long and tedious journey the welcome we received and the cottage were lovely. Milk (and wine) in the fridge and tea and coffee available so no need to rush out. The local convenience store and chip shop only 8 minute walk so was able to pick up supplies we needed for the first night. Beautiful cottage in a great location. We were very lazy but there were plenty of things to do 10/15 minutes away. Yes, it is fully accessible for a disabled person even though it is an old building converted. We just checked door width, with owner, before our stay but there was no problem.

Absolutely great cottage, lots of space with a lovely garden. Our party was a group of six ladies and the layout of the cottage suited us perfectly, however it would also suit families down to the ground. We were fortunate that the weather was lovely during our stay, so we ate out in the garden on both nights. The cottage was really well equipped with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The host, Pam, was so very helpful and as as she was on site, was easy to contact had the need arisen. We will be back

What a fabulous cottage with super friendly owners who literally could not be more helpful & friendly. Really tastefully decorated throughout with high quality finishings & fittings. Lovely & warm with underfloor heating downstairs. Bedrooms were huge & beds super comfy. Towels provided which was nice touch. Kitchen was well equipped which led into walled enclosed garden (guessing this would be fab in the summer?), great to keep a close eye on dogs or small kids. Can honestly say the whole place was absolutely spotlessly clean & you can clearly see that this cottage has had alot of time, effort & expense to get it to such a lovely standard. Ample parking & also bike wash & drying shed should you need it. Owners lived next-door but kept themselves to themselves but always on hand should you need them for anything. The lovely Pam even came on a dog walk with us with the adorable Gem. Surrounding area is peace itself. It felt safe, comfy & a home from home. Absolutely loved our weekend and really hope to come back soon.

A really lovely spacious place, well equipped and serviced. Very comfortable beds, quality bathrooms, and well appointed kitchen, diner, garden, and living room. It was an ideal base from which to explore the beautiful sights and places to visit in North Yorkshire. Although places to eat locally within walking distance were limited, that didn't matter to us for our short stay. Malton is just up the road A64, and Scarborough, going east. We really enjoyed it. 😁

Really enjoyed our long weekend. Nice private garden. Enough bathrooms for the amount of people. Beds were comfy. The walls have been soundproofed which was great for our group of 3 under 2 year olds and 2 dogs! Especially through the night, no one was kept awake. Rang the owner to check a few bits before we went and she was super helpful. Only a couple of minor bad points. The showers were a bit drizzly. The living room is too small for all guests to be in at once. The whole place is boiling hot. It was full of bugs and daddy long legs but I suppose this was because it was so hot we had all the windows open. The owner lives next door and they did message us asking us to be quiet on the first night. I'm not mad about it, I just think you're not going to really get a peaceful environment with 8 adults, 3 babies and 2 dogs. Nice location. 10 mins into Malton and close to Eden Camp which was a good day out. Overall a great stay and would stay again.
