I recently visited this coffee shop and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing, perfect for spending time alone or with friends. The staff is friendly, polite, and very welcoming.
Called here just on the off chance. I would rather support independent cafes than large corporate chains. Excellent coffee, bacon sandwich and nice relaxing atmosphere. It's just off the main square. Support them or all the independent shops will disappear.
Came across this place a few months ago now on our way back home from Durham. Scones are out of this world. Lovely chap, lovely service, lovely coffee.
Went in with a friend for coffee thismorning My friend went up to the counter to order and asked the waitress if she could clear the table. The waitress came over and started being very rude to my friend which there was no need for. My friend asked where her bottle of coke was and I was waiting for my coffee also. The same waitress stormed off to the counter, slamming my friends bottle of coke down very hard on the table, which shocked us. She then went off into the kitchen in a bad mood. Another waitress did come over to apologise, but the damage was already done. Very bad and rude customer service by the original waitress. I won't be visiting there again!
We stumbled across this little unassuming café in Ripon - and had by far and away the best coffee of the holiday there! These guys can make a decent flat white, and were friendly, welcoming and up for a bit of banter with the kids. Unsurprisingly it was busy - definitely the place to go if you are serious about your coffee.
