Despite the mixed reviews below, we had a great first time visit to this tea room yesterday. No queue but still busy, plenty of seating outside available and wonderful scones with jam and clotted cream. Even the coffee was served in proper coffee cups and saucers.

The Tearoom,it goes without saying was exceptionally busy, that's not too hard to work out when you consider hundred of visitors are wandering round this magnificent attraction having probably walked the equivalent of a "half marathon"on a sunny day, needless to say it was very good and much appreciated.👍👍

Queuing never works once it’s beyond a hand full of people , when we all have to randomly snake inside and outside the tearoom. They’ve had years to think and sort something out. Making matters worse was the poor person on till, obvs not 100% trained for fast service. On the bright side , outside seating arrangements were perfect , plenty of seating and some even undercover …

Lovely to sit and look over the lake after a long walk. Great walk back through the deer park back to the visitor centre. Beautiful scenery.

Friendly staff and a good selection of food and drink for the smaller cafe (for a larger food choice you are better at Fointains abbey cafe). They had gluten free scones and some tasty looking forward cakes, cosy inside on a brreezy November day
