E sushi

We've been meaning to have a takeaway from here for some time. We'll definitely not leave it so long until our next visit - the sushi was delicious. It was so fresh and the seaweed was also lovely too. We collected at 5.45pm and the restaurant was quiet so not sure what it would be like eating in later in the evening but will definitely try that too sometime. Thanks for a lovely meal this evening - both we and our daughter loved it!

Great food, excellent service! We've never been to a sushi restaurant before so, like a lot of people I imagine, we weren't sure what to expect or what to order. We love Thai and Chinese food so were keen to try this and support a new, different, restaurant in Ripon. We're not sure we did things in the right order but had Chicken Gyoza, Spicy Salmon Uramaki and Tuna Nigiri as a starter and E Ramen with a Spicy Kimchi Broth and Chicken Teriyaki. The Gyoza were the best we've had, the Uramaki, really tasty and the Nigiri simple but excellent. Be careful of the wasabi that comes for extra flavour, it's vicious. The ramen was great, a house special with all the meat and prawn options and the Chicken Teriyaki, perfectly tender and flavoursome. All appeared to be freshly prepared to a very high standard and there was plenty of food. There aren't too many tables so, whilst we didn't book, we would recommend it, we went early on Thursday in January. They weren't able to serve alcohol as, having relatively recently opened, they don't yet have a licence. An optional 10% service charge is added but due to the the courteous and efficient service we had no trouble paying this plus a little bit more. The restaurant and toilets are all bright and spotlessly clean, a little too bright for me, I'd prefer slightly moodier lighting, hence the loss of a star but this could be seen as harsh. This is a very welcome addition to Ripon, a vibrant city with lots of food options but this adds something new and much needed in our opinion, we will definitely be going back to explore the menu further. I'm very impressed with the freshness of their sushi and sashimi. This is our second order and will definitely come back. The sashimi is really fresh, whilst the spicy tuna is really tasty.Their quality is as good as Domo Sushi in Harrogate

What a wonderful gem! The restaurant was clean, bright, and beautifully decorated, and we found the menu with pictures to be incredibly helpful. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, making us feel very comfortable. The food was simply delicious, prepared with fresh ingredients. We are eager to explore the menu further and will certainly be returning. Our only regret is not discovering this restaurant sooner!

Their sushi are authentic and fresh, and the ramen are tasty. I love the atmosphere in the restaurant, which is so relaxing and pleasant. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, making me feeling like at home. Prices are good and the portions are generous. Their convenient location is a plus, less than 2 minutes walk from the marketplace car park. So happy that there’s such a nice Japanese restaurant in Ripon!
