We came here on a Sunday the layout and design is lovely. They have a place to hang customers coats up which is a nice detail. I originally ordered the butterbean and spinach cottage pie which the menu said "VEA" meaning vegan option available. However, I was then told that was not the case and I could have a burger instead. This was a little frustrating due to looking forward to something different and we had called ahead to inform them of my diet restrictions. The staff were helpful and worked to try make me another option based on what I can have out of that dish. The rest of my table had different versions of Sunday roast which they enjoyed. We had dark & stormy to drink which I liked and it's glass was a decent size. They offered vegan ice cream which was orange chocolate flavour and the other raspberry it was a nice texture. They are also dog friendly.

We came here on Saturday night and had a great meal. We shared a plate of focaccia bread with the usual oil and balsamic vinegar but it also had marmite butter which was absolutely delicious. For mains I had halibut on the bone with popcorn mussels, potatoes and spinach in a seafood bisque it was one of the best fish dishes I’ve ever eaten. My husband had the SHK burger that looked equally good. The service was friendly and efficient from start to finish with the added bonus that dogs are allowed in some parts of the restaurant. We will definitely be back.

What a great place! We stopped here after a walk at Studley Royal and it was perfect! Sat a table of 8 with kids & dogs with no fuss. Really nice interior and a great menu. We had the roast pork sandwich with gravy for dipping and it was done to perfection! Delicious gravy, succulent pork with crackling and proper fries. The staff were friendly and attentive. Definitely worth stopping by!
