Lovely cafe in centre of ripon, very friendly owner, all the food and cake she makes herself, her scones are amazing! So nice we went twice in less than 24hrs! She was busy each time, but we managed to get a table, advise to book if you want to secure a table, as only about 10 covers in the cafe. Recommend this place to everyone, such a gem 💎
What a great find this lovely tea room was. On a very wet lunch time the welcome, service and staff were very warming. Proper Yorkshire tea served in china cups, piping hot homemade soup with a savoury scone and all served with a smile to us both. We'll be back next time when visiting the area, well done to all!
Lovely tea room. 4 of us precooked an afternoon tea. All homemade. Their ham in the sandwiches is divine. Delicious scones and a cake 'wedge'. (Bigger than your average slice). Very friendly service and very good value.
Looked lovely but sadly they wouldn’t let us in as we had a pram. Definitely needs to be more accessible, I wonder if it would have been the same service for wheelchair users? Edit: it’s quite clear this place also doesn’t take kindly to criticism by the comment below. Their comment is genuinely hilarious with the accusations and pure BS that they are spewing. You can see the same sort of responses to any negative review instead of apologising they just get rude angry and offensive. Accusing us of lying but their comments contradict themselves. first person I spoke to was lovely but she did not offer me the opportunity to book at all. We chose to come back off our own backs not because we were offered to. The second woman just seemed to usher us out we barely even came through the door. The restaurant was went to after here was lovely and accommodating and was quickly to move a table over to allow us to fit the pram which is what I call excellent customer service. Sadly this place doesn’t offer that. Definitely won’t be removing my review as this place deserves it.
We booked for a 1pm lunch on Saturday 16th August, I cannot praise this wonderful tearoom highly enough, the staff from the minute you walked in were friendly, helpful and clearly proud to be there. The food was home cooked and excellent, cakes again excellent. When we visit our daughter again it will be a good to place. Thank you for a lovely lunch
