Came from Bradford today to purchase a car for my mum - the service was excellent from start to finish. Richard was professional, honest, and really took the time to make sure everything was explained clearly and walked us through the process step by step with no pressure at all. The whole process was smooth and straightforward, and my mum is really happy with her new car. Richard even offered me a space to conduct my prayers which really meant a lot. Genuine guy who listens to his clients. Called him at 10:30. Told him the 2 cars I’d looked at online. Had a test drive and the rest is history. I’m now the proud owner of a Kuga. When I say genuine, I mean really genuine and such a nice man. Will definitely recommend ***** 😊😊

Perfect experience buying a car from Richard. I saw the car I wanted on the website, and emailled Richard on a Friday night - Within 12 hours I was viewing and test driving the car. No pushy tactics, lets you view and examine the car as much as you want, and then take a test drive (nearby bypass, so able to get up to 60mph too) After looking round other cars/dealerships, I only wanted the VW Scirocco that Richard was selling, I put a small deposit down to reserve the car (which is knocked off the full price of course) and Richard was kindly ok with the ~12 day delay it would take me to be able to purchase the car. On the day of pickup, we went through all tax, breakdown cover, warranty etc and then I drove away. 5 star service throughout, Richard even helped on small random things like getting the dashcam wire into the car's trim! The next day, I had the Engine MIL come on - Richard had the car in the same day to diagnose the fault, and it came back as a common error with the type of engine. Richard ordered the repair part for me and fit it as soon as it had arrived, at no cost - also mentioned not to worry if the fault came back, as he would ensure it be fixed despite the car technically not in warranty (due to mileage). Instantly, the drive home was noticeably smoother, as it was before the fault had appeared, and now I'm back to a perfect drive. Cars are cars, I had my local garage do a check over the car 2 weeks after purchase and there were no major faults - standard wear and tear for a 14 year old car and all was disclosed before purchase thanks to Richard's helpful video showcase of each vehicle. Great car at a great price, perfect service, and if some years go by and I need another car I'd 100% return.

I recently bought a Suzuki Swift from Richard Preston Motors, even though the garage is over 5 hours away from me. From the very beginning, Richard’s communication was absolutely fantastic. He was incredibly understanding of my nerves, especially given I was transferring a large amount of money for a car I’d never seen in person. What gave me confidence was his many excellent reviews, and the way he kept in touch throughout the whole process really built my trust. Richard went above and beyond—sending detailed videos of the car, and even taking the time to touch up a few small paint chips (completely normal for a 6-year-old car). The delivery was smooth and professional, and the driver was lovely—making sure I was completely happy with the car before heading back. I’ve had the car for nearly two months now and I can honestly say it was the best decision. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Richard Preston Motors to anyone, no matter where you’re based. A brilliant garage and one I’d absolutely use again in the future!
