My father recently stayed in the Trinity Ward of this hospital, and the care team were absolutely incredible, providing both my father and my family with excellent support. I cannot thank them enough! I would recommend them a thousand times over compared to other hospitals in the area. They are an amazingly friendly team all round in Trinity Ward and gave us incredible support at a very hard time.

I attended phlebotomy today and waited almost 40 minutes to be attended to with no explanation as to why they were not taking people through to the department to be dealt with. One lady, sitting with her very elderly mother, went to enquire what the hold up was and was told that they like to have a number of patients queued up so they have a steady flow through the department! She was not happy with that response at all. Whilst I am quite happy to wait my turn in any department under busy circumstances on this occasion I was highly unimpressed at having to wait at this departments whim whilst they have a good half hour break from patients. Two other people (one in a wheelchair) had waited so long that they had to leave phlebotomy to attend an appointment in another department. I assume that on their return they would no doubt have to undergo this silly waiting game again! I tried to ring the hospital general office with no success - the phone rang for ten minutes with no response. I would give zero stars if I could on this occasion☹️

I have recently had a four week stay July 2025 in this fantastic hospital...This is my second stay in this hospital & I really can't praise the amazing staff enough, it's a pity other hospitals can't learn from them!!! This hospital is spotless, the food is hot & tasty & you even get home made cakes in the afternoon 😋 It's a great pity there aren't more rehabilitation hospitals like this, the next step home. Thank you again, you are all very special people. Dedicated, caring professionals, who go above & beyond.❤️

Visited today for an x-ray. beautiful, clean historic building with a large budget spent upon up dating every feature and equipment. Very attentive and professional staff all of whom are polite, welcoming and professional. The history attached to the building, originally constructed in 1850 primarily by donation tells you a lot about the people connected to Ripon.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every member of the palliative care teams across Ripon and Harrogate. Your unwavering compassion, expertise, support and understanding during the most indescribably emotional time, made a big difference. You brought not only a high level of professional care but also a deep sense of comfort and humanity. Your support allowed my wife, Lisa and me to navigate the worst journey of all things cancer, with dignity and peace, knowing we were in such capable and caring hands. Thank you for your tireless dedication, for being there at every step, and for making an unbelievably traumatic experience a little more bearable. We will forever be grateful for your presence and care.
