Upstairs Downstairs

I have just returned home from Upstairs Downstairs having bought three more fabulous items in their incredible sale. My husband sees the familiar red and white bag and just sighs inwardly. 'Think what I've saved' I cry as I show him my wares. I have always had a positive experience at Upstairs Downstairs - the ladies are so friendly and helpful and so good at find just the right item that you will look great in. I love that they are so non-judgmental - I only ever buy clothes in the sale - but they welcome me with open arms and can't do enough to help. Over the years I have bought some amazing items, from winter coats to knee length boots, interview outfits, dresses for special occasions, but what I love best is the normal every day clothes you can buy there - jeans and vest tops that are ideal for holidays and at a price that you couldn't get anywhere, even high street stores in the sale. I have been a fan of Upstairs Downstairs since I came to Ripon eleven years ago and have built up a fabulous wardrobe of incredible - but affordable - items. Carole and her team are so accommodating and welcoming, nothing is too much trouble. I love how smart they always are, wearing clothes from the shop that make you go 'Oooh I love your top, have you got it in my size...?' I am a PE teacher and spend my life in sports kit and trainers but I think that every other item of clothing I own is from Upstair Downstairs. As my father would say 'You can't beat quality' and that's what shopping at Upstairs Downstairs is - a quality experience. Thanks ladies - always a pleasure xx
