My wife recently attended a furniture painting workshop at Rosie and Clover and had a great time. Refreshing a pre-loved piece of furniture it’s now totally updated for modern day living! I’m impressed! Not having to buy a whole new bit of furniture we are now able to spend that money having a new pair of made to measure curtains through Caroline instead. Double whammy! Thanks Caroline I’m sure Sarah will be back to try another one of your workshops soon.
I recently decided to have my 2 sofas & footstool reupholstered as I already loved the shape & size but wanted to refresh the fabric. With the help of Caroline & her expertise I’m pleased to say I’m absolutely thrilled with the results!.. it looks like new (and is much more cost effective than replacing them). Thank you so much for your help, I’ve already recommended your services to my friends & clients. 😊
I did the furniture painting day with my family and was severely disappointed with the experience overall. The studio was underprepared, with no hot water, a faulty toilet and with no basic tools to take things like drawer handles, off. There was no pre advice on the type of item you should bring to get it done in the time, or what time of finish / condition it should be in. This last point was then exacerbated by the fact that there was absolutely no preparation of the furniture, as it was said that the ‘magic paint’ would self-level over any surface. This did not turn out to be true. There wasn’t adequate time (we were there over four hours) for the paint to dry and then move on to waxing, but instead of advising we wait, we were encouraged to wax over wet paint and take half the second coat off. This patchy look was then attempted to be veiled over by calling it ‘aged’, as if it was intended all along. Turned out to be a very expensive way to buy a couple of cans of paint.
