G&T's Ice Cream Parlour

Description

We are situated close to the tourist hotspots of Fountains Abbey and Brimham Rocks in an area of outstanding natural beauty. We began our journey back in 2005 and applied for planning permission.

Following success of obtaining a grant towards the cost of the equipment from the Rural Development Programme for England supported by Yorkshire Forward we opened on the 22nd May 2010. Proceeds from the open day were presented to The Friends of Ripon Hospital.

A viewing window enables you watch the ice cream being made. The business has grown by adding teas, coffees and home baked cakes to the menu as well as selling ice cream wholesale to local shops and restaurants. Assisted by our daughter Lynsey, we have never looked back.
